The newly developed edge AI computer combines a powerful NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Orin™ module with a robust IP66 enclosure, a selection of long-lasting connectors including reliable Phoenix Contact® M12 connectors, a wide range of power input, as well as connectivity specifically designed to support CAN FD, the widely used vehicle bus protocol for communication between transportation devices, and GMSL-2 technology, primarily used for in-vehicle cameras.
This innovative consolidation, along with its compact design and readily deployable form factors, make the IBOX-650P-IP66 ideal for diverse edge AI applications across industries.
Unmatched Computing Power with Superior Ruggedness
The IBOX-650P-IP66 leverages NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Orin™, which offers high-speed data processing with a maximum AI performance of 275 TOPS, to provide real-time response for complex problem-solving. Incorporated with its ruggedized IP66 enclosure and the waterproof and robust connectors carefully selected for all interfaces including power, Ethernet with PoE, USB, CAN FD, serial port, and camera, the IBOX-650P-IP66 is poised to resist any challenging environments.
For instance, the rugged edge AI computer can withstand accidental detachments of the connected cables that are caused by vibrations or shocks near railways, making it an ideal choice for intelligent railway applications requiring intensive AI workloads, such as real-time train monitoring and advanced predictive maintenance.
Besides the well-selected connectors aiming to resist harsh circumstances, the IBOX-650P-IP66 also adopts a fanless design with operating temperatures ranging from -25oC to 70oC, not to mention that it is equipped with a UPS backup battery that helps prevent potential downtime and unexpected data loss.
Easy to Integrate with Existing Power System
The IBOX-650P-IP66 supports a wide range of power input (9 VDC ~ 60 VDC) with smart power management designed for applications in various industrial fields. The built-in ignition power management functionality also allows this model to detect ignition signals during power-on/off process, ensuring the system startup and shutdown processes run smoothly and reliably. All these features enable this model to be safely and easily deployed with an existing power supply system.
Enhanced Industrial Connectivity and Simplified Installation
In addition to the GMSL-2 with FAKRA connectors for real-time video transmission, the IBOX-650P-IP66 also supports a built-in 10GbE that ensures instant connectivity to an external network, which can be used to link to a cloud server for seamless file sync or backup, as well as dual 2.5 GbE with PoE that allow a flexible power supply for connected devices such as an IP camera or a LiDAR instrument, enabling versatile and reliable communications with faster deployment time.
Adaptive to Changing Demands
Aside from the enhanced industrial connectivity mentioned above, the IBOX-650P-IP66 also supports serial protocols such as RS-232/422/485 for peripherals or sensors control. Extra M.2 or mPCIe expansion modules for using 5G, GPS, Wi-Fi, and NVMe SSD, coupled with optional DIO as well as analog input and PWM output interfaces, are also available based on varying demands.
